To counter feelings of overwhelming anxiety or physical reactions to stress, our BB&R team turns to the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 grounding technique. This technique forces us to find ourselves in the moment, in a world beyond ourselves. Next time your busy mind takes control, give this technique a try. If it is a nice day outside, get out and try this technique on a walk. If not, you can always do it inside.

Find five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.
