Tricia Reilly Koch: It's so much fun to deep dive with our guests and to hear what they're all about and what they're doing.
Zenka Caro: It's so good that you guys are condensing everything into like a bite-sized story to, to bring to people to really keep them, you know, abreast of, of of all these 'aha moments' that are happening in so many different fields.
Tricia Reilly Koch: We love working with Wild Health. We love what they offer. They're all into precision medicine and really they are ahead of the curve when you want to start taking control of your own health.
Zenka Caro: Tricia went out to the Raj and met some of the transcendental meditation people that are really looking at the science, which they call the technology of consciousness.
Zenka Caro: They have done over 400 studies that show that when we go into transcendental meditation or very, very deep meditation state for 20 minutes, we can actually cause a measurable effect on the peace and calm of the world.
Doro Bush Koch: The George H.W. Bush CVN 77, named for my dad. And when he was alive, he would tell you it was one of the greatest honors of his life.
Doro Bush Koch: I'm the sponsor of that carrier and which means that my spirit goes with the ship. But I also have the privilege to do work on the ship. And one of the things we do is share meditations with the sailors who who are deployed now, but who use them to reduce stress.
Doro Bush Koch: We also are planning to do some other wellness work with the carrier.
Tricia Reilly Koch: And they've been part of our conferences for the past 15 years.
Zenka Caro: Getting the families involved of the sailors as well to to understand how this works and how easy it is when we do drop in. So we're really excited to be putting together partnerships.
Zenka Caro: If you're hearing this and you're saying, oh, I have a contact at a prison or I need someone who would want to fund this or this sounds interesting and I want to help in some way. This is your warm invitation to work on this really profound project.
Tricia Reilly Koch: We just got back from visiting the Arabian Leopards in Al-ula, Saudi Arabia.
Tricia Reilly Koch: It was quite an experience for us to be on the other side of the world and to be with other like-minded people who are really concerned with what's going on with the well-being of our planet and all of the animals that we share this planet with.
Tricia Reilly Koch: We hope this year is going to even be broader. To talk about how we are all part of this earth, this this home that we call Earth. And we really are deep diving with other organizations to make sure that we're talking about our interconnectedness of wellness and how we do depend on each other.
Doro Bush Koch: We continue to partner with Georgetown University and we have a wonderful conference that's online and it'll be in October this year again.
Doro Bush Koch: Our in-person conference is at the Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, Florida, and one of the most beautiful spots in the United States. November 5th through November 7th.
Zenka Caro: You're walking on the beach, you're eating food that is so beautiful you don't even want to eat it. You're you're having conversations with these people who've written books. You're doing yoga. It's just so powerful to be together.
Tricia Reilly Koch: Registration is open, so please register as soon as you can because it is a limited space.
Zenka Caro: You can just go to The Gasparilla Inn dot com and then just make a reservation. Tell them you want to do the retreat.
Doro Bush Koch: You can hear about all of this on our podcast Health Gig pod dot com and subscribe, which is really important because we want you to vote for wellness.
Tricia Reilly Koch: One of our other partners is Conservation Nation, which is an organization that's fairly new, and they're committed, as we are, to helping this earth become healthier.
Tricia Reilly Koch: One of the really, really things that are glaring that's not happening in conservation today is we don't have enough diversity in conservation and we don't have enough women, we don't have enough people of color.
Tricia Reilly Koch: That's what we started doing with Conservation Nation. We went to schools actually to young, to students, middle school girls in particular, and boys, and started talking to this young woman that we're working with. Her name is Taylor and teaching kids the importance of conservation
Doro Bush Koch: When Tricia and I went to Saudi Arabia, it was with our new partner Catmosphere, an organization that supports the big cats.
