Christie Nix: I never thought I would be talking about health to begin with. I was a junk food junkie.
Christie Nix: How can I live this long, happy, healthy life with my husband?
Christie Nix: I went vegan and started implementing as many plants as I could and wow, what a difference.
Christie Nix: What never crossed my mind, was the role that stress plays in our health and our well-being and our energy and how we impact people, how we affect people without even realizing it.
Christie Nix: I'm a therapeutic yoga teacher. I'm a Reiki master.
Christie Nix: I was doing everything I possibly could to take care of myself. Yet I was still having these health issues.
Christie Nix: And she said, “Have you ever thought this could be emotional?” And it just blew over my head.
Christie Nix: We think kids won't remember it. Oh, kids are resilient. They're not going to remember it. But the reality is, is their body remembers.
Christie Nix: It's rapid reprogramming of emotional stress technique.
Christie Nix: We want to go back to the original event, pull it out by its roots, like gardening of the mind, and then when that space in your brain is open, when that neural new neural pathway gets to kind of erase itself and like create something new.
Christie Nix: You work with meridians, the breathwork, some visualization, a little bit of forgiveness, all these different modalities that Dr. Cindy has put together. And after an hour-long session, there's a space of clarity.
Christie Nix: When you go to sleep, it's that opportunity for your subconscious and your conscious mind to finally sit down and have a conversation with one another.
Christie Nix: One of the biggest concerns we get with people like they're super intrigued to have rRest done, but they're so afraid of what's going to come out of the closet. And those are the big T traumas.
Christie Nix: if you've ever heard someone say, I don't know why, but all of a sudden I just started acting like a two-year-old, Well, it's because your brain went back to that moment in time.
Christie Nix: With rRest, we want everyone to know there is nothing wrong with anyone. The reason we're responding is because we're here for this human experience. We're learning, we're evolving all the time. There's nothing wrong with anyone. It goes back to what happened to you.
Christie Nix: This the first seven years of a child life, child's life. They're the most moldable, able people in the world.
Christie Nix: Hoʻoponopono, and it's four simple phrases and it doesn't matter the order. But the first thing is. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
Christie Nix: It's an easy practice that anyone can do. “I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.” And that is how I try to end every single rRest session.
Christie Nix: I love to end on a high note of a little t trauma to make it right so that my client can go in, in their future and look forward at what they want.
Christie Nix: There are times where something comes up where it is difficult for the client, but we make sure that our coaches are ready for that moment so that they can hold space. To heal that moment.
