Mitra Ray: I was not finding the answers that I needed for my own health. So I started to look elsewhere.

Mitra Ray: It was really my own health that led me on a quest of learning everything about nutrition, physical fitness and now emotional and mental wellness as well. 

Mitra Ray: Everything that is going on in the world today, I now attribute to childhood stress. 

Mitra Ray: We make bad decisions or do things we regret when we're under stress.

Mitra Ray: Lifespan is reduced twentyfold by having six or more of these adverse childhood experiences.

Mitra Ray: When we're born, we're purely emotional beings because we don't have a logical filter, so we're as emotionally complex as we're ever going to be.

Mitra Ray: Triggers are bad code. You wrote to survive a moment during your first five years of life.

Mitra Ray: Each of these triggers actually becomes the foundation of a belief system.

Mitra Ray: Your heart rate is very dependent on your emotions. If you're in a relaxed state, your heart is beating in a different way than when you're in an active, aroused, excited state.

Mitra Ray: You're surprised by how smart and capable you really are when you're not triggered by life every other day.

Mitra Ray: Whenever you feel out of control, it's because you are out of control.

Mitra Ray: What is life? What is success? What is any of this, if we cannot be joyful and happy about it.
